Interview with Clara Le Berre from Oriflame

Ahead of the inaugural Sustainability & Naturals in Cosmetics conference in Barcelona from 31 May - 1 June 2018, we spoke to advisory board member Clara Le Berre about how relevant this event is for the cosmetics industry right now and why it's important to attend:

Why did you decide to participate as an Advisory Board member at our launch conference Sustainability & Naturals in Cosmetics?

The launch of a conference focusing on sustainability and naturals in cosmetics is a good tool to help the industry to respond to the sustainable demands and expectations and share successes and challenges. Being part of the advisory board allowed us to play a role in the organisation and bring the right people and subjects together.

What were your drivers to participate at the Pigment & Colour Science Forum 2017, and now what are your expectations for the Sustainability & Naturals in Cosmetics Conference 2018?

Pigment & Colour Science Forum 2017 was a good opportunity to present our challenge to raw material suppliers in the formulation of natural pigment and to highlight the gap in this area.

Why this such conference would be relevant for the cosmetics industry?

The cosmetic industry has to work together to answer to the consumer expectation and the planet need. This conference is an opportunity to gather innovation, create discussion, collaboration and opportunities. It will help the industry to share and find sustainable alternative.
